Ellie

Ellie

Tim Laubscher is South African born and has been living in Ireland for many years and his film is the focus of today preview as we count down the days towards November’s Strasburg Film Festival.

This film, titled Ellie, is a story of survival and overcoming one’s circumstances. It is told through the eyes of Ellie a young girl experiencing abuse along with her mother and their struggle to overcome it.

It’s a story that’s only about 7 minutes long, but we felt that it will stay with you long afterward. Indie Shorts Magazine said, “‘Ellie’ is a painful reminder of the society’s persistent, yet seemingly unresolved problem – domestic violence.”

The full film fest schedule will be released in early September but you can buy one day or three day passes now.
