Strasburg Film Festival documentary short From Glasgow, With Love follows Refuweegee, a Glaswegian charity who helps refugees settle in Glasgow, and welcomes them through thoughtful and sweet letters from the people of Glasgow.

Director Biography – Craig Devine
Graduated with a Masters this year. Hoping to break into the UK film industry, specifically Scotland. Have previous experience of creating short fiction, documentaries, music videos and corporate video. Interested in film theory and possibility of teaching or practiced based PhD. Inspired by Dreyer, Bresson, Fassbinder, Bergman, Ozu, Tarkovsky, Kieslowski & Kiarostami from the past. Contemporary inspiration comes mainly from Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Farhadi, Koreeda, Jia Zhangke and Andrey Zvyagintsev.

From Glasgow, With Love is really about the people of Glasgow and the refugees they welcome to their city- in some ways we wanted to make a film of a positive mindset that was an antidote to the toxicity of the medias portrayal of asylum seekers & the dehumanization of refugees in general- hopefully you, the viewer, can feel the love & hope in this little film
