The Shenandoah Film Collaborative, Inc. (Shen Films) is looking for a volunteer French/English Translator throughout December 26, 2020 to January 22, 2021.
Shen Films is putting on our first ever virtual French Film Festival from December 18 to January 31. During this time, we will be holding four virtual filmmaker lounges and at least four virtual one-on-one interviews with filmmakers. We require a translator to help facilitate communication between filmmakers and Shen Films interviewers.
Requirements:
- Available on December 21, January 4, January 11, January 18 at Noon EST
- Flexible availability throughout 12/15.- 01/22 to accommodate filmmaker interviews
- Fluent in both French and English
- Any formal or informal translation experience (preferred)
About the Shenandoah Film Collaborative, Inc.
We were founded in September of 2017 and we strive to bring independent films to different locations within the Shenandoah Valley. The Shenandoah Film Collaborative, a 501 (3) c, all-volunteer, non-profit has two areas of focus:
- Offer opportunities for residents to experience the wonders of film that cannot be found from Hollywood.
- Raise funds and awareness for the Shenandoah County Public School System where the money would be used for theater/drama-related programming.
