Strasburg Film Festival documentary North Korea: Inside the Hermit Kingdom affords a unique glimpse into the life and culture of the historically insular nation.

Washburn University professor Dr. Bob Beatty is granted the rare opportunity to visit North Korea and see the Great Leader himself. North Korea: Inside the Hermit Kingdom peeks behind the dark curtain surrounding the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) – a dynastic one-party communist dictatorship closed off from the rest of the world. Granted unique filming access to such sites as the Korean Demilitarized Zone, the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun and the Arirang Mass Games Festival; the film examines the history, culture, propaganda and political situation inside the so called “Hermit Kingdom.”

North Korea: Inside the Hermit Kingdom will be shown on Friday, November the 9th, 3:25 PM at Strasburg Town Hall. Tickets can be found on the film’s event page.
